Project Description:

This project focuses on implementing the EU's strategic communication and public diplomacy efforts in Myanmar, reflecting the EU's global communication approach.

The project aims to enhance the EU's visibility and support through innovative and flexible communication strategies. By showcasing the impact of EU programmes, the project seeks to build trust, foster networks, and improve the EU's perception among local and international stakeholders within Myanmar and in Europe, consolidating its position as a key supporter of the Myanmar people.

Key objectives:

Strategic communication and public diplomacy play a key role in communicating the EUʼs messages, shaping its image in partner countries, building trust and fostering networks with key audiences and partners.

General: Position the EU as a supporter of the Myanmar people and as a partner of reference in the eyes of the wider public and selected stakeholders.

Strategic Communication: Measurably increase awareness, understanding and perception of the EUʼs partnership priorities in the country, by emphasizing impact and added-value of EU actions in Myanmar.

Public Diplomacy: Strengthen and expand networks in and outside Myanmar to engage in long-term, people-to-people connections that can help build trust and facilitate future cooperation.

Qualifications and skills for Senior profiles

• University degree in a discipline relevant to the subject of the project;
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time proven relevant experience;
• Or in the absence of a degree, an additional 2 years of relevant professional experience on top of the professional experience listed above;
• Fluency in English;
• Fluency in Burmese for Myanmar;
• Experience in Myanmar or in South-East Asia is an advantage;
• Full computer literacy.

Qualifications and skills for Junior profiles

• University degree in a discipline relevant to the subject of the project;
• 1-5 years of proven relevant experience;
• Or in the absence of a degree, an additional 2 years of relevant professional experience on top of the professional experience listed above;
• Fluency in English;
• Fluency in Burmese for Myanmar;
• Experience in Myanmar or in South-East Asia is an advantage;
• Full computer literacy.
