Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:
- Licensing out Adalvo's pipeline and portfolio products in the designated territory and to the selected strong local partners
- Strategy development and implementation for the fastest and efficient launches in the Territory in the context of Adalvo`s B2B strategy
- Developing strong expertise around differentiated generics, oral oncology product, soft-gels, hormones, ER products etc. and if necessary aligning specific USPs with dedicated customer portfolio
- Analysing resource/return aspects carefully and leveraging from resources and programs to achieve maximum value from each selected deal.
- Development of new customers, expansion of existing customers as well as development of licensing and partnership concepts in the context of Adalvo strategy
- Cultivate close partner relations
- Selectively target and build relationships with industry leaders (e.g., distributions or generic partners to negotiate licensing and supply deals)
- Developing, Negotiating new Licensing and Supply Agreements as in line with the Adalvo targets and objectives
- Continuous review and optimization of processes within the responsible area and interfaces to other functional areas
- Analysing and being aware of the decision-making mechanisms and decision maker stakeholders at the respective target customer ensuring 360-degree analysis of each respective client
- Pitch convincing business plans to the board in a clear and concise manner
- Participation in inter-functional project teams and closely following the status of pipeline products in close communication with R&D team
- Preparation of Business Cases for each licensing deal to make sure the inter-functional alignment and ensuring the highest benefit from each potential licensing deal based on NPV targets of Adalvo
- Being very close to the market and monitoring respective trends and customer requests and feeding this information back into the portfolio department or respective functions in the organization
- Being profit-minded and partner oriented when it comes to difficult situations to turn those ones into the great benefit and advantage of Adalvo
- Entrepreneurial character and attitude is the key personality required for the candidate in order to match with the corporate identity of Adalvo
- Able to work independently and even under pressure in an ambiguous start-up atmosphere
- Representing Adalvo in the respective partnering events such as CPHI and other key events in the Territory, etc.
- Continuous self-education with regard to Adalvo`s portfolio and technology platforms in order to meet customer requests when it comes to product specific questions in close alignment with the internal functions
- Thinking strategically rather than opportunistically and carefully identifying the real opportunities while quantifying the added value
- Planning and execution of own working trips in close alignment with the respective team members and internal functions
- Ensuring compliance with all legal regulations and rules
Qualifications & requirements
- +7 years’ experience in the Generic Business Development and Licensing environment
- Preferably possess Biosimilars Out-Licensing Experience
- Has an existing strong network and a proven track record of tangible, commercial success.
- Good understanding of various regional market dynamics
- High level influencing and negotiation skills.
- Effective communication skills with a good command of English
- Flexibility to travel when necessary
