Air Freight Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the air freight department in Bangkok.
• Coordinate and monitor air freight shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with international and local regulations.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Customer Service:

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding shipment status and any potential delays.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of air freight coordinators and other staff members.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Carrier Relations:

• Negotiate rates and contracts with airlines and other service providers.
• Monitor carrier performance and address any service issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics partners.

Financial Management:

• Prepare and manage the air freight department's budget.
• Monitor and control expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Analyze financial reports and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Thai customs and international trade laws.
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of shipping documents and records.
• Implement and maintain effective quality control procedures.

Strategic Planning:

• Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of air freight services.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
• Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in air freight management or a similar role within the logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of air freight operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a multinational company or with international logistics operations.
• Knowledge of Thai customs regulations and international trade compliance.
