Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality, customer-centric products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services and applications.
- Utilize your deep knowledge of coding principles and industry best practices to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Architect, design, and optimize software solutions that adhere to industry standards and best practices, ensuring performance, scalability, and security requirements are met.
- Drive the development of customer-facing products by designing and developing user-friendly interfaces, following established UI/UX design principles.
- Design, develop, and version customer-centric APIs to enable seamless integration with our services, treating them as products to meet user needs.
- Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles, writing comprehensive unit tests and automated test suites to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to establish and implement testing strategies that adhere to industry standards, including continuous integration and delivery practices.
- Leverage and configure monitoring tools for system health and performance management, implementing logging, metrics, and alerting mechanisms to maintain operational excellence.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices to continually enhance our software development processes and methodologies.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive code documentation to enhance code readability, maintainability, and ease of collaboration within the team.
- Drive DevOps practices and possess knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure efficient and reliable deployment and operations.
- Mentor team members, providing technical leadership, coaching, and guidance on industry standards, best practices, and professional development.
- Excel in this role by actively promoting and implementing industry standards and best practices across the organization, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in software development.
In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, you will also be expected to actively contribute to the development and refinement of our internal processes, methodologies, and standards to ensure alignment with industry best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Proficiency in Go (Golang) or a strong willingness to learn and work with Go.
- Expertise in software design, architecture, and system-level thinking.
- Solid knowledge of coding principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture or service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.
- Knowledge of Protocol Buffers (protobuf) and gRPC.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for continuous learning and staying current with industry trends.
- Experience with JavaScript and ReactJS is a plus.
- DevOps knowledge is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, as well as the ability to define team and individual objectives to match roadmap and company goals, is a plus.
- Experience in implementing complex business processes.
