Job Description
1. Support the development of decarbonization strategy and roadmap
- Identify key strategic issues effecting GC’s decarbonization strategy/ roadmap / action plan / resources management based on analysis of internal and external factors with relevance stakeholders, such as gap identification between existing decarbonization actions vs. roadmap, performance lookback, regulations, technology, DJSI, CDP, etc.
- Support coordination activities with all decarbonization workstream champions and representatives to ensure that proper actions have been made/ embedded in roadmap to address the strategic issues.
- Co-develop decarbonization initiatives, consolidate and align execution strategy / action plan / resources plan from all workstreams against the corporate short-long term targets.
- Analyze and highlight key deviations affecting the committed decarbonization targets and co-work with relevance workstream champions to implement proper mitigations.
- Update to the decarbonization financial models, analyze and optimize short-long terms decarbonization roadmap / action plan that maximizes benefit to GC. Co-work with workstream champions and representatives to finalize the roadmap.
- Support DM to get the strategy / roadmap / action plan / resources plan endorsement by relevance committee, such as sustasinability development committee (SDC), management committee (MC), BoD, etc.
2. Drive execution, track, review and report decarbonization goals, KPIs and implementation
- Develop list of critical milestones / accomplishments from the roadmap of all workstreams for KPI developement / performance management and target cascading.
- Support alignment process to get commitment / co-commitment on critical milestones / accomplishments from workstream champions, for instance,as operational KPI.
- Develop risk management matrix and indicators that support short-long term performance management.
- Monitor, identify gaps and mitigations that ensure overall decarbonization performance are aligned with the committed short-long target.
- Perform lookback analysis on past initiatives to capture best practices, lesson learn and evaluate performance against the targeted outcomes of the initiatives
- Support DM to report and communicate the performance to relevance committee, such as sustasinability development committee (SDC), management committee (MC), BoD, etc.
3. Provide support (systems, tools, best practices, manpower and technology) for decarbonization initiatives across GC
- Analyze and identify critical supports needed to facilitate effective decarbonization roadmap execution.
- Develop presentation deck / proposal to seek for endorsement on critical supports by relevance committee, such as sustasinability development committee (SDC), management committee (MC), BoD, etc.
- Analyze, identify and introduce new tools, practices, technologies to the workstream that aim to enhance execution cfficiency and productivity
4. Support the decarbonization investment management, including consolidation and prioritization of initiatives for funding approval and capital planning
- Conduct review and prioritization to sponsor proper decarbonization initiatives in seeking for implementation endorsement through relevance corporate investment process.
- Monitor and analyze short-long term decarbonization investment plan against the roadmap and committed target
- Support DM to regularly report and communicate the investment portfolio and target to relevance committee, such as sustasinability development committee (SDC), management committee (MC), BoD, etc.
5. Support communicate activities (internal and external) on decarbonization
- Develop communication deck with critical indicators to support internal and external communication of decarbonization performance / roadmap
- Facilitate internal and external communications
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of relevant experience with the job description.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science (with MBA background is preferable).
- Experiences in strategy development, complex project management & execution, business development, decarbonization and relevance areas.
