Product Operations Manager – Automation & Optimization

The Product Operations Team sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and scale, being the connective tissue between product, business, and on-the-ground teams. We accelerate product outcomes by building and allowing the people, systems and tools to grow product sustainably across the region.

We work with team members to ensure that product solutions are innovative, operationally practical and locally relevant. Our scope spans the entire product lifecycle—from go-to-market planning and feature rollouts to performance monitoring and continuous feedback loops. Whether it's Mobility, Deliveries or Safety, our mission is to lead product excellence and operational readiness at scale.

Get to Know the Role

Reporting to the Head of Product Operations, you will play a key role in scaling our product workflows through automation, data-driven insights, and process innovation. You will have proven foundation in operational process design and hands-on experience building automation solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand pain points, map end-to-end workflows, and develop automation strategies that increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy across Grab's ecosystem.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will work closely with team members and product teams to learn operational workflows and design solutions for automation after standardizing and optimizing processes end to end.

• You will meet with product teams to gather and document requirements for effective solution design.

• You will propose design optimizations to enhance the overall solution architecture.

• You will study existing processes and write queries to extract data from the database for analysis.

• You will design solutions and build databases to facilitate automation.

• You will write Python scripts for data processing, analysis, and connecting with other services via API.

• You will own the continuous improvement agenda by gathering feedback, identifying friction points, testing solutions, and iterating to optimize processes.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least 4 years experience working with Python, R, MySQL, and other SQL languages.

• Strong understanding of data analytics, data processing and scripting.Experience designing and implementing scalable operational systems and processes.

• Possess some experience working with product management tools (e.g., Jira,) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack).

• Proactive problem solver with experience breaking down ambiguous issues into component parts to develop solutions.
