Engineering Specialist II (MSL Lab)

About The Role - You Will

• Performing cleanliness testing process for organic extraction on hard disc drive (HDD) component and media extraction standard and large volume injection, LVI to Gas Chromatograph (GC) Direct injection both standard mode and LVI Multi mode inlet, MMI Modes
• Operate and basic checking on laboratory equipment such as Gas Chromatograph analyzer (GC), Mass selective detector, MSD, Thermal desorption unit, TDU, Auto disk extractor, Rotatory evaporator, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR) and others.
• Support cleanliness analysis for regular process monitoring, qualification, evaluation and failure analysis from incoming material, in-process, final product, evaluations and excursion from manufacturing, process, and development teams
• Support FA group for internal and external failure analysis
• Support Laboratory development, design of experiments, DOE and proactive analysis
• Intermediate GC/MSD and FTIR interactive interpretation
• Maintaining the basic laboratory instruments and apparatus in good conditions and follow engineering guidelines for simple trouble shooting FTIR, GC/MSD, TDU, Auto disk extractor and assign equipment.
• Perform laboratory analysis and related jobs per supervisor assignment.

About You

• Fundamental of science and mathematic
• Basic chemistry and organic functional group understanding
• Good logical thinking
• Good for computer skill specially excel, macro excel, KNIME workflow and power point.
• Good for both spoken and written English

Your Experience Includes

• Experience in Hard drive/Electronic industry
• Preferred 2-5years Work experience using laboratory analytical instrument and techniques e.g FTIR, GCMSD, NVR, Nonvolatile residue and FTIR and GC/MSD intermediate interpretation and pass Seagate organic correlation will be special consideration
