Job Title: Credit Risk Policy & Portfolio Analyst
Job Scope & Responsibilities: Credit Risk Policy & Portfolio Analysis
Develop, refine, and implement credit policies across the credit card lifecycle (acquisition, credit line management, loan review, etc.).
Ensure credit strategies align with regulatory guidelines, internal risk appetite, and business goals.
Partner with internal functions, e.g. Product, Underwriting, and Collections teams for policy implementation, i.e. to translate policy into automated decision rules.
Conduct deep-dive analysis and monitor credit performance of newly acquired accounts, focusing on first-year default cases. Investigate root causes and recommend improvements to the credit process.
Revise underwriting standards to maintain default rates within acceptable levels. Trigger mitigation actions when vintage performance reaches critical thresholds and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
Analyze and identify opportunities in selective customer segments with acceptable risk levels. Develop underwriting standards aligned with strategic business initiatives.
Regularly provide comprehensive and high-quality portfolio risk measurement, analysis and reporting to Senior Managements / Committees within timelines to take the right strategic decisions.
Continuously enhance reporting capabilities by identifying new dimensions and metrics for monitoring.
Support system implementation, testing, and monitoring of policy changes. Plan and manage risk related change requests on new policy changes or other credit initiatives. Organize UAT, coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure the testing results are given as expected.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail credit policy, portfolio monitoring, or retail risk management.
Strong proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SAS Enterprise Guide, Power BI, SQL.
Experience with national credit bureau data (e.g., TransUnion, Experian) and internal scorecards is a plus.
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and a fast, independent learner.
