    Assistant Finance Manager - Tax Strategy, M&A

    Position Details

    Responsibilities:

    Analyze M&A tax and tax strategy of the group company and assist in providing appropriate tax support to business operations for the business.

    • To be responsible for the implementation of the group tax strategy and closely monitor whether the company and the affiliated companies are compliance with the tax policies including transfer pricing policy as well as monitor the tax part of SET’s sustainability disclosure.
    • To study and keep updating on new tax related regulations, tax rulings and tax incentive scheme, prepare the tax newsletter for circulation and evaluate whether those regulations are relevant or beneficial to the company and the affiliated companies.
    • To assist in preparing the transfer pricing documentations, including but not limited to master file, local file and country-by-country reporting.
    • To study and analyze the tax implications on the restructuring of the group company as well as the divestment.
    • To study and keep abreast of tax regulations and system in targeted overseas countries and taxes on cross-border transactions for the company’s outbound investment.
    • To analyze the tax implications on the overseas income streams and have an opinion on the appropriate investment structure for the company from a tax perspective.
    • To liaise with the advisor for tax due diligence on the target company, review and summarize the tax findings and propose the ways to mitigate the exposures.
    • To find opportunity for company’s tax optimization e.g., to seek improvement in tax management.
    • To assist in company’s tax health check and deal with external tax advisor for tax review/health check.
    • To participate in tax sessions and/or share tax knowledge to company’s relevant department and/or affiliated companies.
    • To assist in providing tailored tax supports on business operation for business units and provide ad hoc supports to the Management on any tax matters arising within the areas covered by the job role.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
    • At least 5 years of experience in tax fields, accounting experiences will be preferable.
    • M&A experience shall be preferable.
    • Detail oriented and proactive
    • Strong analytical skill and good communication and presentation skills
    • Positive attitude toward working and service mind are considered as an advantage.
    • Good command of English both written and spoken. Minimum TOEIC score 700.
