JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Business Unit Coordinator manages the alignment of assigned customer’s technology road map and Jabil’s Technology road map. This role works independently and leads large scale projects/programs for designated client(s), as well as provides management and guidance to multi-functional project teams.
This role is a single-point-of-contact to the customer for all project related activities while managing and enhancing customer relationships with technical peers. The Technical Business Unit Coordinator provides full accountability for project budgets and schedules and develops, manages and delivers complex projects typically related to quality assurance, systems, process, manufacturing operations, etc. to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction. This includes developing complex SOW, business proposals, project schedules/financials, and managing multiple global projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage key projects or multiple related projects/programs aligned with assigned Business Unit’s strategy.
Manage key customer programs (excluding P&L responsibility).
Act as Jabil’s point of contact/interface for customers.
Work with internal and external customers to ensure excellent satisfaction and exceed expectations.
Lead and implement programs spanning functions, organizations, regions, and cultures.
Present and sell Jabil’s Technology Solutions to assigned customers/programs; deliver professional presentations to senior-level engineers and managers.
Develop BU’s technical direction aligned with overall strategic direction.
Handle project management duties: program ownership, planning, technology challenges, quote management, cost/value engineering, kick-off, tracking, milestone management, tooling, build & capacity management, reporting.
Ensure project success in cost, schedule, quality, and scope.
Maintain customer satisfaction internally and externally.
Ensure effective communication internally and externally.
Handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
Identify cost reduction opportunities by streamlining or re-engineering processes.
Determine and develop customer requirements to best apply Jabil’s services.
Work with BUDs/BUMs to target new opportunities with current/new customers.
Support business development activities: quotes, customer visits, etc.
Translate business requirements/specifications from BU or customer.
Adhere to safety, health, and company security policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Requirements
Broad manufacturing knowledge (materials, processes, test, logistics).
Familiarity with Jabil tools (financial system, quote process, etc.).
Strong ERP skills.
Fundamental cost accounting knowledge.
Strong customer service commitment; prioritize solving customer issues.
Skilled in leading/directing project teams and delivering results within constraints.
Knowledge of assigned BU’s strategic directions.
Strong supply chain management skills.
Strong project/program management skills.
Ability to present information effectively to managers, clients, customers, and senior management.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Jabil software packages.
Ability to write simple correspondence, read/understand visual aids.
Ability to follow simple instructions and handle standardized situations.
Strong math skills: arithmetic, fractions, percentages, ratios, graphs.
