Staff Engineer, Development Engineering (Lapping)

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the lapping engineering team to develop new process or to improve current process capability
• An individual contributor in a technical team with specialized knowledge to deliver technology solutions aimed to develop products and/or solving business problems.
• The assigned task will be related to, but is not limited to areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering.
• Cross-team leadership and collaboration will also be a big part of the responsibilities that come with the position.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics or their equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years in a Development engineering role or any applicable role in HDD business or Electronics industry

Preferred

• Experienced in assembly or manufacturing set-up. A background in HDD-related field will be a plus.
• Will to be assigned and work in multiple manufacturing sites located in different countries

Skills

• Able to communicate and have a good command of the English language
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoints, Excel, and Word
• Knowledgeable in statistical software and its practical applications
