We are seeking a collaborative and experienced Engineering/Technical Manager to lead our Automotive Embedded Software Development team. This position will oversee 2-3 first-level managers and a team of 20-40 engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent leadership abilities, and a people-centric management style.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Business Development: Leverage technical expertise to identify and drive new business opportunities, defining strategies for regional business growth.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of embedded software projects, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on guidance in embedded software design, development, and testing. Stay updated with emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, product managers, and external partners, to align software development with business goals.
Process Improvement: Enhance engineering processes to boost efficiency, quality, and team performance. Encourage best practices in software development and testing.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: At least 10 years in embedded software development, including 5+ years in leadership roles within the embedded software industry.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN).
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Project Management: Experience in agile methodologies and delivering complex projects successfully.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Emotional Intelligence: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and create a supportive work environment.
