Legal Manager

At Manulife Vietnam, we are on a mission to make decisions easier and lives better. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Legal Manager to join our dynamic legal team. This role will support a wide range of legal matters across the business, ensuring compliance, managing legal risks, and enabling strategic initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of operational matters across the business.

• Respond to day-to-day legal inquiries from various departments and levels of the organization.

• Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned opinions to Senior Counsel.

• Monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory, and industry developments; provide timely updates and guidance.

• Draft, review, and (where applicable) participate in the negotiation of contracts and legal documents.

• Represent the company in industry conferences and contribute to legal presentations and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications:

• A qualified lawyer, licensed to practice law in Vietnam, and in good standing with the Bar.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, or a multinational environment.

• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication in both Vietnamese and English.

• Ability to identify legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of financial principles and risk management is a plus.

• Discreet, tactful, and able to work with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
