IT System Administrator
Responsibilities:
Platform Management
Manage and maintain the platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations for various applications.
Oversee Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) configurations and policies.
Provision and deprovision user accounts and access in accordance with company policies.
Monitor user access and ensure compliance with security protocols.
Perform regular audits of user accounts and access rights.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses related to identity and access management.
Respond to and mitigate security incidents related to identity services.
Provide technical support for system-related issues and resolve incidents promptly.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to troubleshoot and resolve integration and system issues.
Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Monitor and manage network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
Install, configure, and maintain software on laptops for new and existing employees.
Ensure that all laptops meet company standards and security policies.
Provide initial setup and orientation for new users on their laptops and software.
Participate in IAM and IT infrastructure-related projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users and IT staff.
Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in identity and access management.
Proven experience administering Okta or similar IAM platforms.
Solid experience in general system administration.
Strong understanding of identity management concepts, SSO, MFA, and security best practices.
Proficiency in integrating Okta with various applications and services.
Familiarity with protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect.
Experience with directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
Knowledge of server and network administration, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with laptop software installation, configuration, and user setup.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and security.
Certified system Administrator or similar certification.
Knowledge of cloud-based services and their integration
Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
