Study/understand the current architecture of a Bank, to document it precisely from Business, Data and Technical perspectives.
Understand and analyze the existing Architectural change road map, and lead the deliverables.
If necessary, to propose possible areas of structuring, of improvement and to oversee the development accordingly, for the evolution of the Middleware. All improvements should be precisely documented.
Enterprise Architect will work/collaborate with other Architects (Infra, System, Security, Application and Data Architects).
Track all changes and new system implementations from Architectural changes perspective by assigning/getting inputs from related Architect.
Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer to identify any potential risk regarding the system architecture of the bank (including the Middleware, but not limited to this system)
Identify possible improvements to ensure a quick 'time to market' for front office applications (client facing applications) without generating risks on the core banking/back office
Inform various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented
Integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture and to oversee future developments.
Develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs of the Bank
Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have
Regularly update the management on any developments in systems architecture projects
Explain evolution of architecture to management
Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets
Continually research current and emerging technologies and to propose changes where needed.
Should review and propose target architecture for every new system/application/component
Follow bank processes and security policies
Create or Enhance Change management process and New solutions evaluation process from Architectural aspects.
Experience and Skills
10+ years of strong experience(relevant) in solution architecture in banking sector
Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life cycle (SDLC)
Solid understanding of design patterns and application levels
Solid knowledge of Database, SQL and software architecture
Knowledge of technologies used in banking sector (or financial services)
Proactive in analyzing new technologies and tools available in market and implement efficiently
Team leadership and communication skills in a sensitive environment (followed the acquisition of an Asian bank by a Canadian bank)
Excellent problem-solver, able to quickly change direction based on updated client specifications or system limitations
Good command of English
