Description
- Work within cross-functional international teams to review engineering change requests
- Create Bill of Materials, production files and work instructions
- Collaborate with the process engineering and manufacturing teams for device testing, measurements, and system validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review change requests from manufacturing teams with respect to PQM requirements, adherence to known best practices
- Interact with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible & follow the defined PDP procedures
- Recommend and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
- Develop and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.
- Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position should have
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and engineering team members.
- Flexibility in work hours to support either early morning or evening conference calls
In addition, the candidate should be proficient in any of the following fields
- Design of jigs/fixtures using Solidworks, prepare part and assembly drawings. Knowledge of and ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) practices, perform complex tolerance analysis
- Possess knowledge of mounting and alignment techniques applied in the construction of commercial free-space optical assemblies and electro-optical systems.
- Understanding of electronics schematics and ability to debug using standard tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Failure analysis, ability to conduct scientific experiments and analyze the results
