Engineering Specialist (Standardization and Certification)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update certifications for IT standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 22301, ISO 27701, CSA STAR).
• Lead projects to acquire new standards or certifications (e.g., Uptime Tier Certificates, SOC2 Type 2 Reports).
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors to manage compliance processes.
• Conduct gap assessments, compliance readiness evaluations, and compliance monitoring.
• Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to address compliance issues.
• Manage document control procedures for maintaining valid management system documentation.
• Ensure awareness and understanding of compliance processes among relevant personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing IT certifications and compliance programs. - Strong knowledge of IT standards and regulations (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 27701).
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead certification projects.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
• Strong analytical skills for conducting gap assessments and compliance monitoring.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Certification in relevant fields (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM) is a plus.
