Associate Manager, Accounting, Tax for Thailand

Position Details

Responsibilities


  • Tax Planning
  • Tax Expenses
  • Be responsible for monitoring and assisting in the calculation of the local subsidiary’s tax expense calculations as well as U.S. GAAP income tax reporting requirements.
  • Tax Compliance
  • Provide guidance, support, and prepare/ review tax returns (income and indirect) for completeness as well as assist with the tax provision to tax return true ups.
  • Complete corporate tax package, support and assist with legal, tax and custom audits.
  • Proper documentations and filings for tax inquiries and audit.
  • Providing ongoing training/support to employees in terms of statutory update such as VAT, WHT & Corporate Tax compliance.


Assists in preparing Accounting Policies & Procedures for the following:

  • Indirect Taxes Process
  • Direct Taxes Process
  • WHT compliance & process


Local AP Management for country specific

  • Lead the monthly AP close process
  • Timely communication on cutoff timing for payment run & closing cut off
  • Key point of contact within the country specific for coordination with the SSC on Treasury, A/P and General Ledger topics.
  • Review non-inventory vendors with assigned correct priority code
  • Work closely with local/cross functional team and ensuring a list of critical payment submitted as per defined timelines.
  • Coordination with respective business support/PO creator and ensuring timely settlement of blocked/parked or invoice exception.
  • Timely preparation of MPRF for monthly royalty payment or other relevant payment owned by Finance
  • Timely preparation of IC billing if required
  • Should demonstrate good knowledge of resolving ongoing issues


Planning & Monitoring of functional expenses

  • Prepare and coordinate budget/seasonal forecasting, S&OP planning
  • Monthly functional review with CM or cost center owner on actual and forecast to have a sense where will be landing functional.
  • Highlight risk & opportunity on balance to go.

  • The educational background for this position requires a degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA/chartered account and/or advanced tax degree preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should have 2 or more years tax experience at a public accounting firm or large corporation performing similar tax related activities.
