Job Description

1. Performance Monitoring & Analysis

• Monitor solar PV plant performance using remote monitoring systems.

• Analyze data to detect issues such as low yield, component faults, or energy losses.

• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports on energy generation and plant efficiency.

2. Maintenance & Servicing

• Perform scheduled maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, MDBs, and other Balance of System (BOS) components.

• Conduct regular inspection and servicing of Main Distribution Boards (MDBs).

• Replace defective parts including PV modules, cables, fuses, breakers, and connectors.

3. Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems, including MDB-related issues such as tripping, overload, or component failure.

• Implement corrective actions to restore optimal plant operation.

4. Recordkeeping & Inventory Management

• Maintain maintenance logs, spare parts inventories, and component replacement records.

5. Site Inspection & System Optimization

• Perform site inspections to assess infrastructure integrity and equipment condition.

• Inspect mounting structures and verify mechanical alignment and grounding systems.

• Propose and implement system optimization strategies, including load redistribution or MDB reconfiguration when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.

• Diploma holders with relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.

• 2–5 years of experience in solar PV system operation and maintenance.

• Strong technical expertise in electrical systems, particularly MDBs, inverters, transformers, and monitoring platforms.

• Solid understanding of PV system architecture, AC/DC circuits, grounding, and system protection.

• Proficient in fault diagnosis and corrective actions for electrical distribution systems.

• Familiarity with monitoring platforms (e.g., SCADA, inverter monitoring tools).

• Basic knowledge of networking and communication systems is an asset.
