Get to Know the Team

As a Front-End Engineer in the Chroma team, you'll be part of Grab's Web Platform group, responsible for building the core infrastructure and modern micro-frontend architecture that powers internal web applications across the company.

Your work will span two key areas:

1. Platform Engineering: You'll help design and build CI/CD-ready frameworks, frontend infrastructure, and reusable UI components that enable other teams to efficiently develop high-quality web applications.

2. Application Development: You'll also use these platform tools and technologies to develop scalable, user-focused web portals used across Grab.

You'll be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle, from architecture and design to deployment and performance optimization, playing a key role in shaping the future of web development at Grab

Get to Know the Role

As a Front-End Engineer in the Chroma team, you will report to the Engineering Manager and work on multiple internal web portals and UI components that are used across Grab. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from design to deployment, ensuring high-quality code, performance and contribute to the web-kit tool, which is an important enabler for rapid web development at Grab. You will work onsite at Grab office, CMC Creative Space, District 7, HCMC.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

1. You will develop the front-end of Grab internal portals and reusable UI components built by the Chroma team.

2. You will develop the web-kit tool that is used for building react applications at Grab.

3. You will integrate the Chroma components with multiple internal portals.

4. You will collect and analyze user feedback, identifying areas for improvement and prioritizing feature development accordingly.

5. You will implement best practices for web development, ensuring high-quality code and observing performance, security, and accessibility standards.

7. You will assess new technologies and techniques to enhance the engineering capabilities of the team.

8. You will identify issues, implement fixes, and ensure portal stability and performance.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

1. At least 4 years of experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as ReactJS (preferred), Ant Design, Micro Frontends, and Webpack.

2. Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively provide updates and resolutions to customers and cross-functional partners.

3. Solid experience in web development, along with a willingness to engage in continuous learning to stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

4. Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, with hands-on experience integrating frontend applications into automated build and deployment pipelines.

5. Comfortable working across the stack, with familiarity in building APIs, implementing Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers, and working with databases when needed to support frontend functionality.

6. Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle

7. Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
