Feeling stuck in unfulfilling jobs can lead to a sense of wasted time and life. Tips from a career expert can help individuals find meaningful careers without major life changes.

Here are Seven tips to help you to where you want to go in your career and how to get there:

    1. Unplug autopilot

Reflecting on personal happiness and motivations can lead to better career decisions. Spend more time on self-reflection like thinking about who we are, what we want and what we find fulfilling. You need to unplug autopilot and take control yourself.

    2. Play the value game

It is a way to figure out exactly what your core beliefs and needs are when it comes to work. Start out by asking yourself these questions

    • If you could create your perfect team, what kind of qualities would the people on it have?
    • If you're designing your perfect day, what sort of work are you doing?
    • Where do you like to work and this doesn't mean the buildings. This means the kind of culture and atmosphere that you find at your job.

    3. Skip the shiny object

Shiny objects as things which can make a job look super appealing but don't actually make you happy. It can be things like status or fancy job title or a big salary. These things might distract you from a job that makes you truly happy.

    4. Switch your strengths

Strengths are activities that energize you, while weaknesses are tasks that drain your energy. Understanding this distinction can lead to a more fulfilling career.

    5. Career curious

Being career curious involves exploring different possibilities to find a better fit for your values and strengths. Exploring various roles within your current workplace, understanding job requirements, and seeking mentorship can lead to a fulfilling career.

    6. Help people help you

The truth is that most people genuinely want to help and if you ask them the right way. They're probably going to be willing to lend you a hand. As long as you're polite and friendly, most people are going to want to help you if they can.

    7. Collective confidence

Understanding and dealing with confidence gremlins can help people feel stronger and more confident about chasing their career dreams, even when they feel unsure or anxious. It can help them grow personally and succeed. Knowing that others face similar challenges can make people feel connected and relieved, knowing they're not alone and realizing that even really skilled people have doubts and worries can give them the push they need to go after job opportunities without being scared.

Understanding these things can help you find a job that feels right for you and make you feel more confident about your future.
